Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet neighborhood located in the West Island of Montreal is one of those "sleepy" location. People who don't understand the name mistakenly believe that they are on the West Island extends westward from Montreal. It is actually it is the West Island includes everything westward of that city Lachine. It is often cited as the birthplace of Amanda Brugel but while that is the case, her time in the city was brief. Brugel lived in Courtice, just outside of Oshawa. The first goal she had was to be an actor, however, after a rapid increase in size, her friends could no longer dance with her. According to an article in the Toronto Star, she revealed her height in heels as six feet and one inch tall. When I outgrew my male companions, I quit. A lot of former dancers go on to acting and in Brugel's situation, it was a nudge from an instructor in drama at high school that encouraged her to go in that direction. It was her teacher who advised her to audition for the role of Anne in the school's annual production. It was her choice to take on the lead role for Anne of Green Gables after she auditioned for. She was awarded the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to go to York University's Theatre Program, where she graduated at the age of 20 with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts. For the past twenty years, Brugel's roles in the world of television and on the screen have been numerous. Her role as Rita from the award winning series The Handmaid's Tale was her most memorable. Brugel made an appearance on only a handful of occasions in the first season of the show The Handmaid's Tale. She was the only Canadian member.
